Privacy Policy

TownFavorite.com is a shared direct mail advertising platform operated by Town Favorite, based in Hoover, Alabama. We publish cooperative 9×12 postcards that are mailed to residential households across the Birmingham metro area, including Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Indian Springs Village, and Pelham, Alabama.

This Privacy Policy explains how the public TownFavorite.com website handles personal information and the choices you have. The website currently provides information and accepts contact inquiries; it does not offer customer account registration or online payments.

Information you provide directly. The contact form collects your name, email address, and message. You may also provide a phone number, city of interest, and inquiry type. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include. Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, or other sensitive information through the contact form.

Inquiry records. We store accepted inquiries in our database, including the submitted information, submission time, status, and identifiers used to prevent duplicate processing. Inquiry details are also sent to our staff inbox through Resend so we can respond.

Request and security data. Our hosting and infrastructure providers process technical request information, which can include your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. The contact service uses protected identifiers derived from your browser session and network address for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

Tools and search. Site search, the audience quiz, and the ROI calculator work in your browser without submitting your answers or calculations to a TownFavorite form endpoint. Search or filter terms included in a page URL may appear in browser history and hosting request records.

External content. City maps load from OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, your browser connects to that service and shares technical information such as your IP address. Social-media icons are links to external websites, not embedded social feeds; those services handle information under their own policies when you visit them.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To respond to inquiries. We use your contact details and message to answer questions, discuss campaign options, and follow up on your request. Sending an inquiry does not reserve a slot or place an order.

To communicate with you. We notify staff of accepted inquiries and use your supplied email address or phone number to respond. Submitting the contact form does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails. You can ask us to stop marketing communications at any time.

To operate the website. We use request and error information to investigate failures, maintain reliability, and protect the website. We do not currently use an application-level advertising pixel or self-hosted visitor analytics system on the public website.

To prevent abuse. We use submission identifiers and security checks to limit spam, prevent duplicate inquiry processing, and enforce our Terms of Service.

The public website uses browser storage for preferences and contact-form reliability, rather than for customer login or online checkout:

Contact protection. A secure session cookie helps protect the contact endpoint against abuse. Submitted contact details may be kept in tab-local session storage so you can manually retry an interrupted submission. After the website receives confirmation that the inquiry was accepted, that stored copy is replaced with a confirmation marker without the submitted personal information.

Theme preference. Your selected light or dark theme is saved in local browser storage so the website can remember your choice.

You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking them may interfere with contact-form protection, retry recovery, or remembering your theme preference. Map providers may use their own technologies when an embedded map loads.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers. Vercel hosts the website, Google Cloud hosts our API and database, and Resend delivers contact notifications to our staff inbox at Gmail. These services process the information needed to host, store, secure, or deliver inquiries. Embedded maps are provided by OpenStreetMap. We do not send payment information to Stripe through the current contact-only website.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TownFavorite, our users, or the public.

Business transfers. If TownFavorite is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the site before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Contact and lead submissions are retained for a minimum of 24 months to support sales follow-up and campaign history, subject to the deletion-request process below. Where an actual purchase has been made through a separate arrangement, our existing policy retains order and payment records for a minimum of 7 years to comply with accounting and tax requirements. The current public website does not create customer accounts. These retention periods do not mean records are automatically deleted when the period ends.

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Access and correction. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct any inaccuracies.

Deletion. You may request that we delete your personal information. We will honor deletion requests subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.

Opt-out of marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing us at townfavoritemailer@gmail.com.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at townfavoritemailer@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.

TownFavorite.com is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at townfavoritemailer@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls, and contact-form abuse protection to help protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on the site.
